Assistant Chief Instructor Corey Marr was born in Seattle, Washington.
Assistant Chief Instructor Corey Marr trained under
8th Degree Assistant Professor Peterpaul Abiva Sr. one of
Professor Martin T. Buell's first generation instructors.
Assistant Chief Instructor Corey Marr first started training in martial arts in 1974 with Goju Ryu Karate.
He has also trained with the Washington Karate Association and has studied Wing Chun Kung Fu,
Sui Lum Pai Kung Fu, and Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu.
He joined the
Universal Kempo Karate Schools Association in 1993 and received his
student black belt in 1998, his 1st degree in 1999, his 2nd degree in 2001, 3rd degree in 2004 and 4th degree in 2008.
He has been teaching in Bellevue since 1998.
Assistant Chief Instructor Corey Marr also has 8 black belts of his own to assist him in instruction:
